Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Desert Valley Contracting Inc is committed to making its website accessible to all visitors, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or display magnification. We believe that everyone who needs restoration services deserves to be able to reach us without barriers.

This site is built with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the current recognized standard for web accessibility. Those guidelines cover a range of recommendations designed to make web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users with disabilities.

What We Have Done to Support Accessibility

We have taken steps to make the site usable across a range of devices and assistive tools:

  • Page structure uses semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate headings, landmarks, and content in a logical order.
  • Images include descriptive alternative text where the image conveys meaningful information.
  • Color contrast ratios are maintained at levels that support readability for visitors with low vision or color-vision differences.
  • Forms, buttons, and interactive elements are labeled so they can be operated by keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
  • The site is designed to reflow at different zoom levels without loss of content or functionality.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checklist. As we update content and add new pages, we review those additions against the same standards.

Known Limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some content may not yet meet every criterion. Third-party tools or embedded content, such as mapping widgets or scheduling integrations, may have their own accessibility constraints that fall outside our direct control. We note these limitations honestly rather than claim perfection.

If you encounter a barrier on any page, we want to know.

How to Report an Accessibility Issue

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use because of an accessibility issue, please contact us directly. We will do our best to respond within a reasonable timeframe and to provide the information or functionality you need through an alternative means while we work on a fix.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility standards and best practices continue to evolve, and we intend to keep pace with them. We periodically review the site for compliance and address issues as they are identified or reported. Our goal is a site that works for every visitor who needs to reach us, whether they are calling from a desktop browser, a mobile phone, or an assistive device.
